Purpose of life..
Many people talk about the higher purpose of life and our reason for incarnating. This has always been so confusing to me, for most of us seem to be busy pursuing material possessions and the accumulation of wealth. Is there any higher purpose to life? If so, how can an individual discover his or her life purpose in order to pursue it? I'm sure no one wants to leave this world not having fulfilled their highest purpose. I would be grateful if you shared your thoughts on this matter.
-Muralidhar
Dear Muralidhar,
There are indeed all sorts of ideas about the higher purpose of life on Earth. Most people look to religion for such explanations. I'm in harmony with some of the teachings of all the major religions, such as the Christian focus on love and faith and the Buddhist belief in karma and reincarnation. I'm in greatest harmony with the oldest religion, Hinduism, and its core teachings that we are all part of God, and through learning and growing via the cycle of birth, death and rebirth, we can progress toward enlightenment and eventually remerge with our Divine Source.
My personal views are based on the information I've received from Spirit throughout twenty years of spiritual reading work in combination with research into the near death experience and life between life therapy. (In life between life therapy, people are regressed to the period between lifetimes to review their plans for their next lives as well as all sorts of other very deep spiritual issues.) The main tenets of all of these sources mesh well, which suggests that even though I may not be able to firmly grasp the entire picture, I am honing in on some big truths.
The two main life purpose themes that emerge time after time in my own experience as a channeler of Spirit and in the NDE and LBL research are the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom and the development of an ever greater capacity for selfless love. While we all share this general life purpose, how that translates for each individual is of course unique. I believe we make our own plans for each life before incarnating, and that these plans are based on the karmic lessons and issues of previous lives combined with the desire to move to higher levels of learning and development.
The higher purpose for our life does not equate to a set plan, however, for we always have free will. In fact, once we get here in the physical, it can be very challenging to stay on track. This is why life on Earth is such a powerful learning experience: when we are plunged into this dramatic situation where we have to find a way to survive and get all our physical and emotional needs met, we tend to forget about the higher truths and lessons our soul is hoping to master.
The analogy of Earth as a school is popular because it is so apt. When we first begin the incarnation cycle, our lessons are simpler and more mundane in nature. There are people whose goal is to simply learn how to work with their divine creative power in order to create the material things they need to physically survive and enjoy life. Often when people graduate from learning how to physically survive, they spend a lifetime or two "playing" with their newfound power to manifest "the good life." Eventually, this naturally gets boring and they start to ponder deeper questions and issues, at which point they begin a conscious spiritual journey. (They've been on a spiritual journey the whole time, of course, but they may not have been so conscious about it.)
To denigrate others' goals and values is a bit like a college student sneering at kids who are just learning arithmetic; we've all had to go through the same basic lessons, so just because those classes no longer challenge or interest us is no reason to put them down. In fact, I've often seen that people who have been through a very difficult journey in life are being prepared to fulfill a very high life purpose. Their highest destiny is to move through the experience to the other side of it so they can become a source of help and healing to other people who are going through the same thing. In order to help people, we have to understand what they're going through, so people destined to become great healers may go through years of darkness and misery.
In some ways, we are all always living our higher purpose, for whatever we're going through is what we need to experience in order to grow into a higher level of experience. Thus we see people who have been touched by cancer creating cancer charities and support groups, and people who have lived some very dark years battling addiction becoming mentors and healers for other addicts.
To determine your own higher purpose, it's wise to listen to your own life story and trust that it is leading you to the knowledge, experience and wisdom you need. It's also important to honor and trust your passions and interests, for these are also trying to guide you to fulfill your destiny. This is how my own life's work came about: I experienced the death of my first love at a very tender age, which made me all too familiar with grief and encouraged me to develop great compassion for the grieving. I also had amazing spiritual experiences that produced unwavering faith in an afterlife. As my own journey ultimately led me to profound healing, I developed a strong desire to help others discover the peace I had found.
Perhaps our highest destiny is to find or create something good out of our suffering. It doesn't matter exactly what form it takes, the point is to transmute the darkness we encounter into something light. With this in mind, some key questions to help you determine your own life purpose include:
What unusual or extraordinary experiences have I suffered through? How can I turn my own struggles into something positive? What am I most passionate about or interested in?
Please note that your higher purpose in life does not necessarily relate to what you do to earn a living. Since someone has to build the houses and grow the food, what people do for a living should never be taken as a sign of how evolved they are spiritually. By way of a very famous example, someone can be the very embodiment of wisdom and unconditional love but work as a humble carpenter. In fact, having a simple, straight forward sort of job can bless us with the time and mental energy to pursue higher aims.
Also, having psychic experiences does not necessarily mean you are meant to become a psychic professional. I often hear from people who have been having psychic experiences and want to know what they're "supposed" to do with them. Since we are all psychic to some degree, that's a bit like saying that lately we've been hearing noises and we want to know what we're supposed to do with our ability to hear. What we do with our gifts and talents all depends on what we want and/or feel called to do.
To determine your higher purpose and find a way to fulfill it, you must listen to your intuitions, insights and conscience, for it is through these channels that you receive guidance and direction from your soul. The more you work with processes like meditation in order to clearly hear your higher self, the more you will tend to fulfill your higher plan for this lifetime. With this in mind, perhaps the most direct and powerful way to determine your life purpose is to engage in life between life therapy

go not to temple
to put flowers upon
the feet of God,
First fill your own
house with the
Fragrance of Love....
Go not to the temple
to light the candles before
the altar of God,
First remove the
darkness of sin
from your heart....
Go not to the temple
to bow down your
head in prayer,
First learn to bow
in humility before
your fellowmen...
Go not to the temple
to pray on bended knees,
First bend down
to lift someone who
is downtrodden.....
Go not to the temple
to ask for forgiveness
for your sins,
First forgive from your
heart those who have
sinned against you.

Does money brings us peace and happiness.....?
Money creates a false sense of independence (Getty Images) |
Ownership of something means total control of its existence. When we buy a piece of land, we feel that we own it, although the land continues to exist even after the owner is no more. How can we own something that outlives us?
Money also gives the idea that we are powerful and independent, blinding us to the fact that we live in a world of interdependence. We depend on farmers, cooks, drivers and the services of so many people around us. Even an expert surgeon cannot operate by herself. She depends on others. Because we pay for their services, we overlook the fact that we depend on them.
If we look at why most people with money are arrogant we will find it is because of the feeling of independence that money brings. The awareness of dependence on the other hand makes one humble. The basic human quality of humility is taken away by a false feeling of independence.
Can money really reflect the worth of a person? We cannot put a value to human life. Wealth can be attained through one's skills, abilities, inheritance, or through corrupt means. The means of attaining wealth brings its own consequences. The very motive for corruption is peace and happiness. Yet peace and happiness remain elusive when the means are corrupt.
As possession of money creates the illusion of independence, money is often referred to as maya. A Sanskrit phrase sums it up: Miyate anaya iti maya – That which can be measured is maya.
On the other hand, some people blame money for all the ills in society. There are others who even consider it an evil. Just as possessing money brings arrogance, rejecting it too makes one arrogant. Some people who renounce money take pride in their poverty to draw attention and sympathy.
However, ancient sages honoured money or maya as a part of the divine and transcended the grip of its illusion. They knew that when we reject or hate something, we can never transcend it.
They honoured wealth as Goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Narayana. She is born out of yoga. It is yoga that transforms the bad karma and brings out latent skills and talents. It also brings up ashtasiddhis, the eight perfections and nav nidhis, the nine wealths.
Yoga helps one move from arrogance to self-confidence, meekness to humility, dependence to interdependence, from craving for freedom to the recognition of unboundedness and from a limited ownership to oneness with the whole.
\When people lack faith in the Divine or in their own abilities or in the goodness of society they suffer from a deep sense of insecurity. As a result all that appears to provide security is money. They rely on something that is not certain, and end up getting upset. Uncertainty causes craving for stability.
The world is of change; the Self is of non-change. We have to rely on the non-change and accept the change. This is like perceiving the real as unreal and unreal as real. In fact, all miseries are unreal. A wise man knows that happiness is real, as it is our very nature. Unhappiness is unreal because it is inflicted by memory. When we see everything as a dream, then we abide in our true nature -- love, joy and peace. We then understand that money is not all-important. Values, sense of belonging, love and care are more important.

Rise together...

It's a beautiful time to be alive
And the long walk home is peopled...
We, are everywhere.
Yet the struggle to surrender is where we walk alone.
So the next you fall
look
to either side where you lie
and take the hand
of your dear Sister or Brother
whose own face is muddied.
We can rise together,
even if we fall alone-
for it's a beautiful time to be alive
even
on this long walk home.

"Power of Giving"
1. Unconditional Giving 2. There should not be any grudges
3. There should not be any feeling of loss while giving
The most powerful form of giving as per me is non material form of giving. This may be:
Attention, Appreciation, Compassion, Cooperation, Health, Knowledge, Fun/ Laughter, Leadership, Love, Skills, Time, Understanding, Wisdom etc.,
"Every act of giving is a strand in weaving a cloth of love and care."

Follow your dreams....
"Dreams serve as a communication line between the invisible and visible worlds. or we can say between astral plane and earthal plane ....A dream is a real-life experience an individual has on another plane of God....We, in our true nature as Soul, are able to have experiences in a far-reaching panorama of life."

My learnings of the day!
There are so many stances in our life : happiness, sorrow, tough times of trials, failures, Success. We keep on going through all in our life time. All these are put up in front of us to help us grow . eg.
We face trials in life to be strong; sorrows in life make us human, allows us to fit in other person shoes ; failures keep us humble; success is required to build up confidence ,to nurture the soul and body.
O lord ! thank you ! U keep me going!

There is one question that all children keep asking that drives some parents to the point of exasperation. “Why?” they keep asking. And when given an answer, they again ask, “Why?” – Why is the sky blue? Why do dogs bark? Why am I sick? Why do mommy and daddy not live together?
As children, we sometimes got satisfying answers to some of our questions. But more often than not, we probably got answers that were really no answers at all – responses like: “Because that’s the way it is,” or “I don’t know.” Sometimes we maybe received religious answers, like: “Because God made it that way,” or “It’s a mystery,” or “It’s a miracle.”
Not finding answers, many of us stopped asking the most basic question of life that, as children, we knew to ask.
But not asking the question did not make it go away. The question was repressed, but the need to find answers to ‘Why?’ keeps haunting us, and unconsciously pushing us to find the answers we need in order to live a meaningful life.
‘Why?’ is a search for meaning, an attempt to see the significance of things that are not obvious. Some of the answers are objective and impersonal. Then the question is about facts, like why the sky is blue. The blueness can be explained through physical facts, and that is the end of it.
But the big ‘WHY?’ is about life and its puzzling dramas. It is about pain and suffering, and their meaning. It is about separation and death. But more than anything, it is ultimately about ME – Why do I exist and what is the meaning of my experiences? These questions are soul searches, and can only be answered by developing soul consciousness.
Finding meaning does not eliminate pain and suffering, but removes the necessity for it. Understanding death does not endow us with physical immortality, but enables us to approach it with equanimity and peace. The meaning of a painful relationship does not heal the pain, but opens us to love again.
As far as we know, humans are the only species that feels driven to find meaning. We cannot help but seek it. Not responding to this deep inner urge is to attempt to function without soul.
Taking the Soul Journey develops soul consciousness and gives meaning to our lives.
Exercises:
1. Each evening take an inventory of your motives throughout the day.
2. Identify a recent important or emotional experience and explore the deeper meaning of it. Why did it happen TO YOU?
3. Seek silence and explore your deepest inner urges – the calling the you do not give enough attention.

Wanna gain energy just try this small exercise!
This exercise will enlighten you. It will take 20 minutes of your life but after finishing this you will get in touch with your inspiration. Sit in a comfortable chair with your feet flat on floor and your arms in the relaxed position. Control your breathing by inhaling for five to ten seconds, then exhaling for five to ten seconds. (You can select time that feels most natural to you). Continue breathing in this one to one inhaling and exhaling ratio. Close your eyes.
While your eyes are closed, imagine yourself walking into a theater with a large screen at the front. Visualize that you are the only person in the theater and may sit in any seat you desire. Once you're seated, push the start button on the arm of your chair. Your life movie beginning with the first day you remember of this lifetime, will begin playing. Relax and enjoy the moments of your life. Pay particular attention to the moments that make you smile. Feel free to express your emotions. Laugh and cry . Continue your movie up to this day, this moment.
Now, before opening your eyes, thank yourself, thank the people in your life, and be thankful for all that you are, do and have. You will feel inspired.
You may choose to repeat this exercise. Each time you do, you will remember more details and gain new insights.
Do share your experience how you felt after completing this exercise.
My heart and soul guide me to take wise action steps.

Dealing with Stress
This is the first time i am penning down my views in writing. I believe these thoughts which keep on pondering in my mind should reach people and if it is helpful to any one person than my purpose of writing is solved. In today's hard life we all suffer from stress . Everybody has different ways of dealing with stress. If we talk about what is stress that will again be relative. But the one which I found appropriate is a situation where we are supposed to handle things which we are normally not used to. Things further can be categorized into visible or invisible, physical or mental; controllable or uncontrollable. Like certain things in our life happen as they are predestined like a parting from loved one and when we have to manage life without that loved one we come under stress. We normally then blame circumstances, other peoples behavior and so on and on. But I want to ask a question why we always knowingly or unknowingly throw ball in others court why do not we do self analysis first . Yes, these uncontrollable things when happen in we feel helpless. For these things we keep on thinking why this happened to me? I am feeling so helpless. Wanna share one life experience a very sweet friend of mine lost her father all of a sudden . Whenever i used to meet her i used to feel so helpless to answer her queries. Her stress level was too high that she left her PHD in between , she used to sit whole day at home doing nothing. On other hand her younger sister joined job to make herself busy and to not to think for those questions which we do not have answer. My friend after seeing her sister realized that she is just loosing precious time of life and just emitting negative energy to surroundings. She got inspired from her sister joined her PHD back after a year and today she is a successful professor. From all this i concluded its the way how we look at things is what matters. Do we want to spend our life in worrying about things which are not under our control or we want to change our perspective of viewing things and lead our life in peace. Stress sometimes is just created by habit. There are people who have a habit of performing in Stress. They believe there efficiency is best when they are under strong urgency zone. But as a human being we have been given responsibility of universe. We need to ask our self that by always being there in crisis zone are we giving energy or we are just spreading negative energy in universe. Both positive and negative energy send out in world roll back like snowballs, picking up size and speed as they return. Let us all start looking at our self and come out of stress so that we can heal the souls arround us.
Few things which can help us doing this :
1. Aceept the things which are beyond our control do not resist ant try to move with flow of life.
2. Manage your time effectively.
3. Our inner soul is our best guide listen to you inner voice before taking any decision.
4. Meditation, Yoga, Prayers are certain medias which help in decreasing the anxiety level.
These are just views put in words any body wants to put in his/ her views please feel free to comment.
happiness always...
